Hip Hop - Poetry - Reggae - Grime – Soul… Skinnyman brings it all! Veritably one of the most recognizable MC’s this side of London, he barely needs an introduction. For those not in the know Skinny found a melting pot of cultures suddenly on his doorstep after moving to Finsbury Park as a child and soon immersed himself in the musical culture of reggae and dancehall. From there on out it was onwards and upwards, and eventually found himself signed with Talkin’ Loud and well on his way to producing an a-class album. Then disaster struck and his movements were cut short when he was jailed for the distribution of marijuana; this did not deter his fanbase from supporting him. In actual fact support for Skinnyman blew up tenfold, likely due to his blatant support of the plant and all the incredible benefits it has to bestow.

At the end of his incarceration, Skinnyman released his masterful solo debut album, "Council Estate of Mind", which was well received by fans and critics alike as the highest new entry in the UK's charts on the week of its release. Heavily autobiographical and socially analytical, the album's release SM shot in to the limelight with UK hip hop radio and press. This rewarded him with the opportunity to work with grime artists such as Wiley and Shystie, and support The Streets at Brixton Academy. He even won in a rap contest in London's Subterranean scene against the one and only Eminem!
