Earl Sixteen:
Known as a reggae legend on the scene, Earl Sixteen has been performing since the mid-70s, creating hits such as “Dread A General”, “The Rastaman” and “Song For A Reason”. Having toured worldwide, performing at countless venues and festivals over the decades, there is hardly a corner of the globe that Earl and his music haven’t reached. In addition to his wide solo success, Earl has also been the lead singer of well-respected, cult-favourite British electronic and dub group Dreadzone since 1995. If you’re a fan of reggae and dub, you’ve likely heard of and already love Earl Sixteen.
Lizzi Bee:
Bringing soulful acoustic reggae and pure soul music, her uplifting voice and heartfelt lyrics are perfect for easing away worries with rhythm and groove. Lizzi’s music is all about connection, positivity, and celebrating the power of community through song.
Wayne McArthur and The Universal Players:
Wayne McArthur & The Universal Players is a seven-piece roots reggae band based in Hertfordshire, with members originating from 3 different countries coming together in the name of peace and love more than 30 years ago. Fronted by singer, songwriter, and writer Wayne McArthur, the group is well-known for creating music centered around global peace, love, equality, and humanitarian themes, committed to spreading a message of community throughout the world.
Frontman Wayne has kept up a strong track record in musical releases throughout his career and has enjoyed vibrant reviews globally for a number of groundbreaking tracks such as “RAINBOW” and the sound system anthem “VICTORY DANCE”. Wayne is always passionately working and experimenting with a variety of producers and it was with Paris based production label, ‘Reggae Remedy’ that Wayne created waves with the release of “VICTORY DANCE”. A hypnotic fusion of deep roots reggae rhythm and a chant of freedom. His ongoing projects with Russ Disciple of Backyard Movements have produced numerous releases and the top quality album, “Love Faith & Belief”. The current bands’ repertoire include songs from the albums “DREAD MUSIC AFFAIRS” and the current “INNALOVEOFJAH”.
The band are now ready to bring their message to Club 85’s stage – A message of unity through music!

Tickets: £12 in advanced + booking fee/ £15 on the door
Age: Persons aged 16+ may attend without a chaperone provided they have photo ID – younger patrons can be signed in at the door and accompanied for the duration of the show by a responsible adult.

We are just a 5 minute stroll from the station; like all of our gigs, this show finishes well in time for the last trains North and South to Cambridge, Peterborough and London.
