Welcome to Space Jam – a monthly community jam night where musicians of all abilities come together to create something completely unique at Hitchin’s most iconic live music venue.

Whether you’ve been performing for years or you’ve only just learnt your first few chords, Space Jam is all about making music with people you’ve never met before in a relaxed, supportive environment. It’s also a chance to step into the home of so many memorable live performances and experience playing at the legendary Club 85 for yourself.

Here’s how the night works:

🎵 Add your name to the instrument sign up sheet when you arrive
🎵 Throughout the evening we’ll create new combinations of musicians.
🎵 Each group gets a minute to chat, pick a groove or idea, then 10 minutes to create something together.
🎵 No rehearsals. No pressure. No expectations. Just live, spontaneous music.

Every jam is different, every combination is new, and no two nights will ever be the same.

Bring your instrument, your curiosity and a willingness to have a go. Guitars, basses, vocalists, keyboard players, drummers, brass, strings, percussion and everything in between are welcome. A basic backline will be provided, so just bring your instrument and any essentials you need.

Doors: 7:00pm
Music starts: 7:30pm
Finish: Approx. 10:30pm

Tickets: £5 on the door

Age: Persons aged 16+ may attend without a chaperone provided they have photo ID. Younger patrons may attend if accompanied throughout by a responsible adult.

Earplugs are available on site for 50p.

Downstairs bar open from noon.

We are just a 5-minute stroll from the train station.
