But one thing is clear: the more of you who come to this event\, the greater the chance Club 85 has of surviving\, and the more opportunity JazzUp has to grow\, evolve\, and continue bringing world-class jazz to Hitchin. \nA packed house sends the strongest possible message that live music here matters\, that we value this space\, and that we’re looking to the future. \nAbout Club 85’s Future \nAs many of you may know\, the owners\, Jas and Ranjit Lidder\, have announced their plans to retire by 2025 after serving the community for so many years. This decision\, driven by health and well-being considerations\, has led to discussions about redeveloping the site\, potentially transforming this beloved venue into residential apartments. \nThat makes this JazzUp more significant than ever—it could be the last one at Club 85\, but it doesn’t have to be. The energy\, enthusiasm\, and sheer presence of a full house can make all the difference. \nJoin us for an evening that promises to be both nostalgic and exhilarating. Our featured band comprises gifted musicians who will perform a selection of hard bop and groove- based jazz tunes.
