SUMMARY:TOMIK with suport from Isles & Zoë Phillips
DESCRIPTION:New Music Cartel presents TOMIK with support from Isles & Zoë Phillips \nNEW MUSIC CARTEL are proud to present a superb night of original music featuring four of the finest acts from Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. \nTOMIK (Full Band)\nTOMIK is the alter-ego of Tom Donovan/Mr Speaker\, a Hertfordshire based singer-songwriter who composes and performs alt-pop music on both piano and guitar. His music is profoundly influenced by the likes of Coldplay & the more avant garde and adventurous Radiohead. However\, his music has also been\, and continues to be heavily influenced by the likes of Ryan Adams\, Tom McRae\, Jeff Buckley\, RY X – those who can go to battle with little more than a piano or guitar and a voice and present something raw\, emotional\, sometimes painful and often beautiful.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/tomikmusicuk \nIsles\nAn Acoustic Pop duo formed by Stephanie Scott and Cára Beard. Combining their love of Pop\, infused with hints of country and folk\, these Singer-Songwriters and local lasses perform Originals laced with the warm tones of acoustic guitar and sweet harmonies. With appearances at The Hundred Club in London\, Balstock\, Samson Fields Festival and other Hertfordshire/London venues\, you’ll be seeing lots more of these two!\nhttps://www.instagram.com/isles_music/\nwww.facebook.com/IslesMusicUK \nZoë Phillips\nRising from Hertfordshire\, Zoë’s music has previously started to make a mark on BBC Introducing\, BBC R1 and BBC Radio 6 music\, whilst remixes of her songs have been aired across BBC R1 Xtra and Kiss FM. Zoë’s vocals and writings have been MTV Dance primetime playlisted as well as previously charted on Music Week’s Commercial Pop chart\, with her track ‘Learn To Swim’ reaching the iTunes top 50 Singer Songwriter chart.\nLive performances include the Rabbit Hole stage at Glastonbury Festival\, Sofar Sounds and a recent support slot to Hannah Grace at the ‘Never Fade Records’ showcase (Gabrielle Aplin’s label).\nwww.facebook.com/zoe.phillips.10 \nDoors open at 7.00pm – 1st act starts at 7.45pm\nThis is a Socially Distanced Seated Gig. \nTickets: £7.50 + 10% booking fee.\nTickets are sold as groups of 4 (£33) and 6 (£49.50) people per table.\nTickets are available on-line only\, from www.club-85.co.uk\nNo tickets will be sold on the door.\nTables are allocated on a first booked first served basis.\nPlease ensure that your group arrives together. \n16+ with photo ID – younger patrons can be signed in at the door and accompanied for the duration of the show by a responsible adult.\nEarplugs are available upon request (50p). \nClub 85’s Covid Rules\nPlease do not come in if you are showing any symptoms.\nThere is a thermometer available if required.\nPlease wear a mask when not at your seat.\nPlease give other people plenty of space and maintain 1m plus when moving around.\nPlease use the hand sanitisers around the venue regularly.\nBar service c/w card payment is at your table.\nPlease follow the one way in\, one way out rule we have in place.\nThe smoking area is at the back of the venue by the car park\, please re-enter the building at the front. \nWe’ve put a lot of thought into how to do this so that everyone feels safe and can relax and enjoy the night\, especially as we know there are many vulnerable people in our c85 community.\nThe entire venue is disinfected with a fogging machine and all surfaces wiped down before and after every gig.\nDoor handles and surfaces are wiped clean regularly during the evening.\nArtists and Crew will also observe all the rules and keep movement around the venue to a minimum.\nOur ventilation pumps fresh air through the venue.\nOur UV lights scrub the air above us. \nLike all current guidelines\, they change as things develop\, we will be reviewing this every week.

SUMMARY:Crosstown Concerts present... LUCY SPRAGGAN + support!
DESCRIPTION:Crosstown Concerts present… LUCY SPRAGGAN & support!\nwww.facebook.com/events/349433025989105\nlucyspraggan.com \nLucy Spraggan is in a good place and wants to share it with you. She is happy in love\, life and music: three things that are reflected in the anthemic\, upbeat\, and infectious sound of her new album. The past few years have been the best of times for the singer-songwriter and Today Was a Good Day sings that message loud. The UK has one of the highest youth suicide rates in the developed world and an ever-growing incidence of mental health difficulties across our population: Spraggan’s personal experience of dark days compels her to pass on the message of hope that forms the backbone of this album. \nIt’s been seven years since Spraggan appeared on the X Factor in 2012 and she’s open about the difficult times when she felt suicidal. “I was a young person with fame and money in my pocket. I was dragged from club to club to play and given free booze\,” says Spraggan. “I’m not sure where I would be without it the experience\, but it was just too much for my brain. I was drinking and partying and in a terrible place.” \nShe reached her lowest moment driving down a motorway 2013. With her foot on the accelerator at 120mph\, she closed her eyes. “I was about to turn my wheel into the central reservation when my dog (her Boston Terrier\, Steve) sneezed. I knew I couldn’t do it to him and he saved me. I came straight home and started Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and my recovery started from there. It opened the door to hope.” \nSpraggan wants use her experiences to help others. Last year\, she released ‘Stick The Kettle On’ – the first track on this the Today Was a Good Day album – in support of CALM – The Campaign Against Living Miserably. The track was written with Roy Stride (Scouting For Girls)\, and Stride and Spraggan decided work with CALM to help people who suffer with mental health issues. \nLucy’s new album\, Today Was a Good Day marked a new chapter for Spraggan musically. She signed a new record and publishing deal with Cooking Vinyl in 2018. The new album\, produced by Jon Maquire showcases Spraggan’s voice in the structure of the songs. Overall she sounds at her most confident and accomplished\, and ready to build on her 50 million views on YouTube and 25 million streams on Spotify. The most Googled musician of 2012\, Spraggan was the first X Factor artist to play Glastonbury and will perform there again this year on the Avalon Stage after filling the Acoustic Tent in 2017. \nThe album was released May 2nd and achieved another No.12 position in the nation UK album chart. \nOctober 2018 saw Lucy sell out yet another UK Headline tour selling nearly 14k tickets. She toured the UK and Europe with Melissa Etheridge and then went to the US and played SXSW for the second year running\, followed by a week of west coast shows and a Florida cruise show with Melissa Etheridge again. She returned to the UK and played another sold out under play tour in the UK and Europe and Lucy is now coming to the end of her US and Canada run of shows throughout June. \nEntry £18 in advance\, more on the door\nDoors 7.00pm \nAdvance tickets are available now from the usual outlets:\n– Farleys\n– Jolly Brown\n– Bar 85\n– Davids Music (Letchworth)\n– Unikorn (Stevenage) \nOnline tickets available from:\nwww.wegottickets.com/event/482350\nwww.seetickets.com/event/lucy-spraggan/club-85\nwww.gigantic.com/lucy-spraggan-tickets/hitchin-club-85/2019-11-26-19-30\nwww.ticketweb.uk/event/lucy-spraggan-club-85-tickets/9672705 \n16+ with photo ID – younger patrons can be signed in at the door and accompanied for the duration of the show by a responsible adult. \nEarplugs are available upon request (50p). \nDownstairs bar open until 11pm. \nLike all our gigs this show finishes well in time for the last trains North and South to Cambridge/Peterborough and London and we are just a 5 minute stroll from the station. \nFor full up to the minute listings please visit www.club-85.co.uk and consider signing up to our mailing list for information on existing and upcoming gigs straight to you! \nAnd remember… Club 85 loves you! xo
