However\, his ‘God of Hellfire’ burned out fast and\, in 1970\, he returned with a new project: the prog-festival freak-show Kingdom Come followed by a varied solo career. Those initial four band albums\, by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and by Kingdom Come are thrilling\, as tend to be Brown’s cameos on other peoples’ projects.  \nBest known for his flamboyant theatrical performances and his powerful\, wide- ranging operatic voice. He has been a major influence on a wide range of musicians due to his outstanding vocal ability and wild stage persona and concepts. He is considered a pioneer of shock rock and progressive rock and influential on heavy metal music. \nHe associated with Jimi Hendrix\, The Who\, Frank Zappa\, Hawkwind\, Klaus Schultze and Alice Cooper and made a cameo appearance in the cult film “The Committee” and also “Tommy”. His countless collaborations include The Alan Parsons Project\, The Stranglers and The Prodigy. \nHis best-known single “Fire” hit number 1 in the UK singles chart and Canada\, and a number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album “The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown” had top ten success on both sides of the Atlantic. DESCRIPTION:Celebrating the 50-year anniversary of PUNK\nIn celebration of the 50-year anniversary of the genre that sparked a musical revolution\, Club 85 are delighted to present a mix of established and emerging Punk bands! \nAll bands will be playing for free\, with proceeds going to Club 85 to keep this precious venue and grass roots local live music scene alive\, so please come and support!! \nCHRON GEN released their debut EP Puppets of War in 1981 which sold 40\,000 copies and they went on to release further singles – Reality\, Jet Boy Jet Girl and Outlaw. They toured extensively across Europe\, UK and the USA\, appeared on front covers of the music press and their debut album Chronic Generation charted. The critically acclaimed “Nowhere to Run” was released in 1983. Going back to their roots in 2026\, Chron Gen will be performing key dates in London at the  Vive le Rock magazine anniversary gig in May\, and also the 30th anniversary of the incredible Rebellion Punk Festival in August \nS*M*A*S*H\, from Welwyn Garden City came to prominence in the early 90s. In 1994\, they released their debut album and scored a hit single\, appearing on ‘Top of The Pops’ and on the covers of NME and Melody Maker. A decade after imploding in 1996\, they reformed and made two more albums before Salv left in 2018. Ed Borrie and Rob Hague continue to perform as S*M*A*S*H with Simon Parry on bass. Ed also releases material as a solo artist and Rob runs a vintage clothes store in Hitchin. \nCOLD CALLER are a garage post-punk band from Herts and Beds\, formed in 2023. They have released two EPs and supported the likes of 999\, The Skids and Theatre of Hate. \nfkn FERAL – the soundtrack to the world being fucked. \nThis is not a gig\, this is fkn therapy! \nTHE COLLIDER are multi-instrumentalists with a flair for the lyrical and the slightly uncanny\, their songs wander through tales of witches\, hares\, crows\, mushrooms and liberty- equal parts folklore and freedom. SUMMARY:HUMOUR: LEARNING GREEK UK PART II
DESCRIPTION:Humour live together in Glasgow. They formed across the 2021 lockdowns\, writing and recording their material at home\, with the music intended as a backdrop to Andreas’ lyrics. Sometimes they’re about letting people down\, sometimes they’re about pets dying\, sometimes they’re about trying to say something when you don’t have anything worth saying.  \nSigning to SoYoung Records off the back of a few rough demos\, it was clear Humour had a unique sound. Their first release ‘Yeah\, Mud!’ gained critical acclaim from NME\, Clash Magazine\, DIY\, Dork and more. Following multiple plays on Radio 1\, BBC Radio 6\, and BBC Scotland\, the band eventually released their debut EP\, ‘Pure Misery’\, which quickly established Humour as one of the most exciting acts in the country. They were featured in NME’S 100\, BBC Scotland’s Top 25 for 2023\, and three tracks from Pure Misery featured in The Herald’s Top 100 Tunes from Scotland in 2022.  \nThe band immediately began to tour extensively off the back of the Pure Misery EP\, supporting Do Nothing\, Folly Group\, Egyptian Blue\, and Enumclaw at gigs and festivals across the UK\, France\, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The band were then invited across the Atlantic to showcase at SXSW\, where they packed out venues across Austin\, TX. They followed this up with a debut UK headline tour\, including shows in Brighton\, London\, Margate\, Leeds\, and Newcastle. Summer 2023 saw the band perform at Leopalooza\, Truck Festival\, 110 Above and Connect festivals in the UK\, as well as a trip to Belgium for Leffingeleuren festival and a support show with Geese at Botanique in Brussels. An autumn tour supporting DoNothing followed\, taking the band to new cities and venues across the UK and Europe. \nThe band released second EP ‘A Small Crowd Gathered to Watch Me’ at the end of 2023\, exploring new sonic territories\, again to critical acclaim. The songs have received extensive airplay on Radio 1\, BBC Radio 6 and BBC Radio Scotland\, as well as being featured in Spotify’s All New Punk\, Melomania\, Hot New Bands\, All New Rock and more. Still going strong\, the Levellers are festival favourites and have cemented their cherished status with headline performances at Glastonbury\, Isle Of Wight\, Cambridge Folk Festival\, Bestival and Boomtown and many European and UK events and in 2003 they successfully created their own annual Beautiful Days Festival which takes place in August at Escot Park in Devon.\n\nDuring this time Mark has released two solo albums ‘All the Pieces’ and ‘Moment’ and his upfront and personal solo performance will see him play a mixture of material from these albums and Levellers classics.
