A night of hip hop in remembrance of Jaskarn Singh Lidder.

A night of hip hop revelry, the likes of, Hitchin has not seen in decades. In collaboration with Major Flavas, and in remembrance of the late Jaskarn Singh Lidder 50th birthday, we bring you west Londons very own Natural Born Spitta, MysDiggi supported highly decorated veteran of the UK Hip Hop scene DJ JAZZ T. Plus Hitchin’s very own home boys, bringing you old and new skool hip hop and much more, introducing GQ & Tukka, DJ ARVEE and DJ JNORTY spinning the decks live on the big stage!!!

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the two truly amazing charities the national British Heart Foundation and the voluntary North Herts and Stevenage ‘Stand by me children’s bereavement support team.

Enter, MysDiggi:

Known as the Natural Born Spitta, MysDiggi is a West London bred rapper, MC, host, actor, writer, entertainer, and voice-over artist.

A seasoned lyricist and charismatically energetic live performer, MysDiggi (formerly known as Mystro) has built a reputation as one of the UK’s brightest and most consistent independent vocal talents, known for his refreshing versatility, uplifting stage presence and ingenuity for wordplay. 

Honing his skills since very young, MysDiggi emerged as a well-known young prodigy MC in early jungle scenes, and went on to set his roots firmly in UK Hip Hop, seeing him releasing a string of solo EP’s and singles, as well as lend his skills to releases with a who’s who of British heavyweights, including Blak Twang, Rodney P and TY to name a few. MysDiggi’s crossover appeal has also led him to feature on platinum selling albums world-wide, recording and performing with legendary international artists such as Junior Reid, Dawn Penn through to Wu-Tang Clan, De La Soul, Pharoahe Monch and Homeboy Sandman, whose 2016 release Kindness for Weakness saw MysDiggi as one of the only UK rappers to feature on a Stones Throw Records LP.  

Currently Mys is on the final run of frontman duties, touring with Bordeaux’s Smokey Joe & The Kid across France and surrounding since the 2021 release of the ‘War Is Over’ LP which he featured on alongside a slew of notable artists.
As a fair well from the French outfit the ‘Smokey Joe & The Kid LIVE’ LP was released April 28th 2023 for those who missed or wanted to relive the crew on tour to experience the high energy generated also released via Banzail Lab.
Mys is currently working on a solo LP alongside High Focus alumni Pitch 92 and planning to showcase some new music during his live sets, so stay tuned as always Mutha Luvaz.

DJ Jazz T

DJ Jazz T is a highly decorated veteran of the UK Hip Hop scene. His long list of achievements includes competing in international DJ competitions (winning a coveted ITF belt back in 1999) right through to his extensive discography of production credits, many in collaboration with Strange U producer Dr Zygote aka The Maghreban.

 His tireless work ethic is reflected in the 40+ deep catalogue of independent releases on his own well-established imprint – Boot Records.

As a tour DJ, Jazz has manned the fort for US legends like Tim Dog and Souls of Mischief as well as home-grown heroes like Jehst, Blade, Micall Parknsun, The Four Owls, Gawd Status and Ramson Badbonez.

Equally at home on both the stage and the airwaves, you can catch Jazz alongside co-host DJ Miracle every fortnight on the Boot Records Show for Guildford-based radio station Kane 103.7 FM.

Toyboy Esq aka GQ & Tukka

They have been a DJ team for over 20 years and hail from Hitchin Herts. 

They started their music careers via local Sound System Syndicate Studio and progressed into their current incarnation as club, party and festival DJs as well as renowned radio broadcasters on Perception Fm and currently Floradio. The duo have Dj’d regularly with some of the industry’s best DJs as well as playing across Europe with established Event brands. Best known for being Multi Genre DJs with a reputation for reading and energising diverse crowds, GQ and Tukka specialise in Soul, RnB, Hip Hop, Garage, Afro Beats, House and party classics old & new.

DJ ARVEE

New kid on the block smashing up Born and bred in Hitchin, Hertfordshire Arvee is a wide-ranging DJ who plays the best in R’n’B / Hip Hop / House / Garage / Club Classics / Old Skool.

DJ JNORTY

Been in the game for years – don’t call this a comeback – a grandmaster of 70s, 80s, soul, funk, dash of reggae, HIP HOP

Tickets: £8 + 10% booking fee or £10 OTD

Doors: 7.45pm

Age: 16+ with photo ID – younger patrons can be signed in at the door and accompanied for the duration of the show by a responsible adult.
Earplugs are available upon request (50p).
Downstairs bar open until 11pm.
Like all our gigs this show finishes well in time for the last trains North and South to Cambridge/Peterborough and London and we are just a 5 minute stroll from the station.
