Randolph Matthews is a jazz vocal artist with a career spanning an impressive 25 years. Randolph is a truly exceptional performer, showcasing his vocal variation across the full breadth of popular music.
Over the years, Randolph has received critical acclaim and nominations from both critics and peers alike, with his unique sound drawing comparisons to the legendary Bobby McFerrin and Al Jareau (infused with a touch of cinematic magic). The Guardian described his vocals as “cinematic, vocally flawless and world-class.”
Throughout his illustrious career touring in over 30 countries Randolph has collaborated with a wide array of musical luminaries, including contemporary artists like Richard Bona, Bill Frisell, Mulatu Astatke, Angelique Kidjo and jazz virtuoso Herbie Hancock. His performances have graced prestigious venues such as Buckingham Palace, O2 Arena, Ronnie Scotts and the Royal Albert Hall, leaving audiences captivated with his blend of popular music, soul and jazz, as well as his original compositions and renditions of global classics.
Randolph is currently working on new recordings called Transcendence, due to be released in 2024.

Young, local rising star pianist Joe leads his trio for the whole season of JazzUps as part of our Youth Jazz initiative. This is enabled primarily by the proceeds from the JazzUp Spring Draw, which took place for the two limited edition Charlie Parker prints by artist (and bassist of The Specials) Horace Panter.+ DJ Sten King
Our resident JazzUP DJ Sten King delivers that unique JazzUp vibe. Sten is well known as a presenter of acclaimed hip hop radio shows such as ‘The Boom Bap Boutique’, and has built a reputation as the DJ that the musicians love as much as the audience.
