“Brilliant album” – Gilles Peterson
We bring you the first 2023 show of this incredible bassist and his band.
Originally from Israel, the extraordinary bass player/composer Nim Sadot has recently released his third album, ‘FELIX’.
His band consists of some of the UK’s leading jazz stars including Nick Walters on trumpet, Hamish Balfour on keys, Laurie Lowe on drums and Alan Short on saxophone & side flute. Together they conjure up a magical mix of bass-heavy, instrumental fusion jazz.
Nim has worked with some of the biggest names on the jazz scene including Harvey Mason (USA), Marlene (Japan, CBS, SONY), Snowboy (UK), Makoto Kuriya (Japan) and Tony Lakatos (Hungary).
If you like jazz, fusion, funk & progressive blended with virtuoso playing you will find Nim’s music fresh, and with a unique style that is easy to love. Influenced by Miles Davis, E.S.T, Mediterranean music, Marcus Miller and Jaco Pastorius.

Brilliant album – Gilles Peterson
…a blend of Blue Note-influenced cool grooves and superbly musical playing. – Drummer Magazine
Consists of a heady cocktail of international musicians making its mix of cultures one of the quartet’s many strengths. In the studio they have developed a sensational variety of sounds that easily translate into their pulsating live performances – creating fascination for the listener via an extraordinary density of sound, catchy melodies, and the culture of their musicianship. Nim Sadot presents fusion jazz in a dynamic new light!
