Club 85 presents the first in a brand new event for us. Stand up comedy
It’s been a hell of a year and we could all use a laugh. Join us to make this first event a huge success so we can make it a regular thing.

TONY LAW – ‘The King of Postmodern Nonsense.’

In 2008, Tony recorded a set for Comedy Central’s Comedy Store series, and appeared on ITV’s Comedy Cuts.
Further TV work followed in 2009, when Tony featured in the CBBC comedy Scoop, the sketch show No Signal (for FX TV), and the first series of Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle (BBC 2).
Tony has since become a panel show regular, with appearances on Have I Got News for You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and also featured in The Alternative Comedy Experience.

We are using a flexible seating system that accommodates different sizes of socially distanced households from 1 to 4 people.
Tickets £12 + 10% booking fee – cheaper than the same line up in London.

16+ with photo ID – younger patrons can be signed in at the door and accompanied for the duration of the show by a responsible adult.
Earplugs are available upon request (50p).
Club 85’s Covid Rules
Please do not come in if you are showing any symptoms.
There is a thermometer available if required.
Please wear a mask when not at your seat.
Please give other people plenty of space and maintain 1m plus when moving around.
Please use the hand sanitisers around the venue regularly.
Bar service c/w card payment is at your table.
Please follow the one way in, one way out rule we have in place.
The smoking area is at the back of the venue by the car park, please re-enter the building at the front.
We’ve put a lot of thought into how to do this so that everyone feels safe and can relax and enjoy the night, especially as we know there are many vulnerable people in our c85 community.
The entire venue is disinfected with a fogging machine and all surfaces wiped down before and after every gig.
Door handles and surfaces are wiped clean regularly during the evening.
Artists and Crew will also observe all the rules and keep movement around the venue to a minimum.
Our ventilation pumps fresh air through the venue.
Our UV lights scrub the air above us.
Like all current guidelines, they change as things develop, we will be reviewing this every week.
