Fresh from their slot at this year’s Bloodstock Festival, London heavyweights Gravil are coming to Club 85 for the first time. They’re bringing intense melodic death metal with a technical edge – imagine InFlames, Chimaira and Lamb Of God having a rumble and you’d be getting warm. The Herts/London-based band featuring Dicepeople’s frontwoman Atashi Tada, ED recently did well at this year’s Metal 2 The Masses tournament, winning a new army of fans. Currently working on their debut album, live samples are available on the FB page.

THE MANTIS DIVINE

A punk/metal quartet who been building a name for themselves in recent months. Following the release of a well-received demo CD, they’re now preparing to launch an official debut in early September, at Balstock.

RITUAL

The debut appearance from the new act featuring members who’ve previously played in some of Hert’s top metal bands. Featuring Jim Males and Sam Donnelly (Skrugg, Burn The Yeti, Phlefonyaar), Mike Lewin and James Marinos (The Wolves Of Avalon) and frontman James Khan (BlackEye). New noise coming soon.
